Mission Statement

The Jin Shin Do® Foundation was founded as a trade organization by Iona Marsaa Teeguarden
in 1982, with the following purposes:
- To serve as an international network of Authorized Jin Shin Do® Teachers and Registered JSD Practitioners.
- To maintain quality in the art of Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure®.
- To promote growth in the art of Jin Shin Do® & facilitate research in related areas.
- To provide informational materials to professionals and the public.
The original vision was of a grassroots movement of people everywhere learning to help
each other with this art. Therefore, much attention has gone into training Jin Shin Do (JSD)
teachers and developing the JSD teaching method and materials to make JSD easy to learn at a
basic level.
The JIN SHIN DO® FOUNDATION is a member of the AOBTA Council of Schools
and Programs.
