REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTERED JIN SHIN DO® ACUPRESSURISTS

  1. Module I
  2. Module II (Part 3 may be taken after registration);
  3. Module III, or 125 logged experience hours acquired during and after JSD study;
  4. Ten private sessions (5 with authorized teacher, 5 may be with registered JSD acupressurist);
  5. Practical exam give JSD acupressure session(s) to authorized JSD teacher (Advanced if possible).
  6. Compliance with applicable local licensing requirements, if any.

To obtain certificate of registration and be listed in JSDF Directory, send the completed transcript together with the application fee of US $50. If your application is accepted, a $60 annual fee is due the following July 1, because the JSDF fiscal year is July 1 to June 30.

US-Canada:Requirements to also become a Certified Practitioner with the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia: 500 hr. JSD transcript including: Module I, II, III, IV (or 70 hr. REQUIREMENTS FOR AUTHORIZED JIN SHIN DO® TEACHERS

Authorized Jin Shin Do® Teachers display gold-embossed certificates of Trademark Licensure, and are entitled to use the registered service mark "Jin Shin Do" and its logo. TM licenses are renewed annually; 25 continuing education hours are required every 2 years.

To become a Jin Shin Do® Trademark Licensee, authorized to teach the Basic Jin Shin Do® class:

  1. Module I, Module II, pt. 1-2. Module IV is recommended.
  2. Registered JSD® Acupressurist;
  3. Intensive Teacher Training Program with Iona;
  4. Prerequisites: Bodymind Trancework and Master Class (Module II, Part 2) with Iona; parts 2-3 of Module IV are recommended but not required.
  5. Total of 300 logged experience hours;
  6. Assisting 2 Basic JSD classes with an authorized JSD teacher (or 1 + videotapes: see JSD Product Catalog);
  7. Practical exam with Iona and 7-page paper verifying theoretical understanding and including 3 case stories.

To be authorized to teach the Intermediate Jin Shin Do® class:

  1. Total of 600 experience hours and at least 2 years of JSD practice;
  2. Two Basic JSD classes taught;
  3. Two Intermediate JSD classes assisted (or 1 plus videotapes).
  4. Practical exam by an Intermediate JSD teacher.

To teach the Advanced Jin Shin Do® class:

  1. 2 Intermediate JSD classes taught.
  2. Assist 2 advanced JSD classes (or 1 plus videotapes).
  3. Special project, and practical test/tutorial with Iona.
  4. Bodymind Trancework & Trauma/Abuse issues (Mod. IV, pt. 1-3) & Master Class (Mod. II, pt. 2) with Iona.
