About A Ranch

This 17-acre ranch has been a special gathering place for a very long time, as can be seen by the pictographs near the classroom, which were drawn by the Coahilla Indians about 800 years ago, and the nearby bedrock mortars (grinding stones).

Pictographs by the Coahilla Indians

A Ranch is 7 miles south of Hemet in scenic Southern California and 2-3 hours inland from L.A. or San Diego. It is in the foothills of the San Jacinto mountains, 45 minutes from beautiful mile-high Idyllwild. The nearest airport is Ontario (about 1 hr. 15 min.), but the L.A., Orange County and San Diego airports are also accessible by shuttle. There are three houses for students to stay in, trailer hookups and camping facilities.

FEES

Regular registration fee:
Applies if deposit is received less than 1 month prior to the class.

Early registration fee: is a 10% discount off the regular fee, and requires that your 1/3 deposit is received 1 month prior to the class. Deposits are nonrefundable due to the need for planning and preparation. Enrolling as early as possible is recommended, because classes at A Ranch are limited to 10 students.

Multi-class discount: If you are registering for three or more classes at A Ranch, you may take an additional 10% off the already discounted early registration fee, which is listed for each class (except that this discount does NOT apply to the 1-day JSD Facial class, nor to the JSD Intensive Teacher Training Program). For example, if you register for the first three classes of Module I — Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Jin Shin Do — your total class fees would be $1665 because of this 10% multi-class discount, instead of the total of $1849 with just the early registration discount.

Auditor's fee: If you wish to repeat a class that you have previously taken with Iona, you may register as an auditor for this class at a 50% discount, if space permits as of three weeks prior to the class date.

Time payment plans are available: After paying the 1/3 deposit, you can make a workable time payment plan for yourself, paying the balance in one or two years. (See below: "How to Register for Classes with Iona)
